The Greek presence at Mobile World Congress 2015 is impressive
The Greek delegation consisted of 40 organizations and more than 120 executives and created very positive impressions, confirming in the eyes of foreign visitors this year’s message – Growing the Ecosystem – the development of the ecosystem of innovation which is a key factor in development and extroversion for the entire Greek economy.
These impressions were recorded from the first day in the statements of Goran Marby, president of the Swedish Regulatory Authority and the European BEREC, who, during his visit to the Greek stand, expressed his surprise at the dynamism of the Greek companies active in the sector , the quality of the human resources and the results of their work, to the presentations of which he devoted a lot of time.
Similar were the impressions of Luigi Gambardella, president of the Euro-Chinese cooperation organization ChinaEU and member of the Board of Directors and until recently President of ETNO (European Telecommunications Network Operators & Association) as well as Jean-Jacques Sahel and Nigel Hickson (President and Vice President of ICANN respectively).
The Greek stand, the creation of which was for the third consecutive year an initiative of SEKEE, was supported by the Greek state through the Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Shipping and Tourism and the General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Networks, while it was co-organized by Enterprise Greece.
The sponsorship of Eurobank, the support from Panteion University, Softweb, and Ericsson Hellas, the collaboration with EEKT and the other innovative links of microelectronics (ENEBI), aerospace (EVIDITE), biotechnology (H-bio) , start-ups (EENE) and EEL/LAK also contributed to the successful presence of this year’s Greek mission.
